You are using basically stick figures to lay the basis (an armature) of your figures. Good. You can go from these to the complete figures. You get the action of the figures planned out. Have you done some work on hands and feet? If not, do so. Correctly drawing hands and feet can make or break your figures.

You might want to check out the book, "Morpho: Anatomy for Artists" by Michel Lauricella He has a series of books you might want to investigate.

No matter what you do, you need to keep on drawing and practicing.
