I am trying to get better at coloring and character design.

Polyvios Animations

That's a very cuter and spunkier character design you've sketched out, jordankinsley, that's very, very good.

Again, if I was to give you a totally total idea on improvement on two things, then they'd be to, 1) To alleviate up your hand(s) in 34 more minutes of 29 second cartoon character poses. And 2) To break up your color grayscales in 3 squares of tones, in 5 minutes and one second.

The premise behind these two things is because, they'd help you refine your character and color design talents.

Hope they have been altogether and totally useful, helpful, and beneficial.

Line quality looks stiff. Maybe some drafting exercises to loosen up would be good, lines, curves etc, not really to draw anything but just to create more fluid line control.

make sure you are doing line creation from the shoulder not the wrist. You can draw from the wrist for detail work but in general construction should be from the shoulder.

Coloring overall looks like you are in the right direction.

Coloring simple shapes cubes, spheres, cylinders,: drawing them in perspective with an imagined lighting setup will allow you to focus on light and shadow more than the concept itself.

If you practice a few minutes a day you will get better at applying the light and shadow to more complicated forms and also control rendering light and shadow from your imagination
