Nex Is Lazy
Great work on the color! I love how it makes the piece pop, however there are a couple of things to point out. First of all, on the 10 minute piece, it would be much more helpful to you if you tried to make very bold, singular strokes. It'll increase your confidence and help with your pen dexterity. As for the 25 minute piece, the first thing that popped out to me is the face. It feels flat, and a lot of it has to do with how you connect it to the neck. next time, rather than making it one line across the entire chin, you can only draw the peak of the chin. Remember that implying the existence of something can be much more powerful than pointing it out with a line. Otherwise, Great work!

Hello!! Thank you so much for taking the time to critique! I have gotten feedback before about using more consistent line, I'm not sure how or why i started the sketchyness/ just kind of adopted it as my style, esp as I use pen, so I guess I'm just trying to feel out the form? But I think it would defintely be a useful exercise to try to do more consistent line, I definitely am resitant to it the few times I've tried. And my art teacher in high school mentioned using less line to delineate form also; I grew up drawing anime for the most part so that's probably where that bad habit comes from haha. I appreciate you again! Very helpful!

I really like your colours on the woman! Your general anatomy is great and I like how expressive the poses are. However, for the man on the left, I would suggest using stronger and more confident lines. Instead of piecing together multiple "chicken scratch lines", it would be better to use one single line. Good job on the pieces and good luck on your art journey :)

hey! i love you color work. try using line thickening to convey volume. befor doing the line work, try to rely on the main points and the main line so the drawing will look more proportional. keep trying harder! success! sorry for my english, i'm not very good at it
