Good evening, Bakedbeess, and a greater job on your quickest sketches illustrating relationships, way to go! Don't get discouraged if you can't get your realistic proportions instantly, but practice makes progress, and progress makes perfect.
However, in the meantime, I'm not getting too much of that fluidity and life and humor of your relationships. Would you like to do a 5 minute sketch of the figure, flipped vertically? As a result, your observations of, not only relationships (proportions), but also the edges and spaces will be the most forceful and the most perceptively seen in your lines and shapes, for they can and will be improved thousand-fold. For furthest tips and tricks, please look into the Daniel Coyle book, The Little Book of Talent.
