Animal Gesture Practice

by Kentubo, June 4th 2024 © 2024 Kentubo

Done as part of a 30 minute class.

My current goal is: Get more familiar and comfortable with the concept of gesture drawing.

My current struggle: When do I start trying to draw forms as opposed to the 'line of action'? 30s? 1 min?

Polyvios Animations

Hello again, Ken. Most spectacular but uncannily believable motion and gestures of your beasts. Yet I'm still not getting enough of your simplest but most cartoon-like shapes and lines yet. Would you like to kindly just go ahead with 34 minutes of 28 second poses of critters? (2040/28≈73 broadest shapes)

28x5=140, 28x6=168, 196, 220

28x7=196, 28x1=28, 28x2=56,28x3=84

72x28=
72x8=576, 1440+576=2016

The premise behind all that critique is because of not just getting the most guts and gutsiness in your animal proportions, but to help you see most of the biggest picture of animals. So for most tiniest details, please look into the Shamus Culhane book on quick sketching for animation right here.

My hat's off to you.
