June 10, 2014 4:18pm #1178Thank you so much for your thoughts! It's funny that you picked up on my hesitance and search for "perfection." It's something I recognize and am trying to push myself past. :)
I really like the idea of using bold lines and working with pen. I'm going to try that probably this evening.June 10, 2014 4:15pm #1177The first thing that popped out at me was movement and life. Your sketches seem to breathe.
I'm not a trained artist, so I don't really have much of a critical eye. I'm sorry. But I think you achieved success if movement was your aim.1June 10, 2014 1:02pm #168I tried "class mode" using animal references.
Look at the third picture with the dog, specifically. He was tugging, and I just couldn't get the motion.

Thoughts for what to keep in mind for this sort of thing? Thank you so much!June 9, 2014 1:07pm #167This website is really kind of awesome. I stumbled across it last night as I was searching for some kind of figure drawing resource.
So, I did some.
They're less gesture and more just drawing. These are timed (10 minutes each, probably a bad idea for someone who fixates on details), graphite on a small sketch pad.
Thanks for your critiques!
