I like your shorties a lot. Lines look really assertive and confident, and define the body in space very well.
I would frankly be interested to see how you develop them into longer pieces. Your foundations should be solid enough to carry quite a lot of detail, without falling to confusion, but you will never know, until you put them to the test.
