5 and 10 minute poses

by Kindredmarie, April 17th 2020 © 2020 Kindredmarie

Done as part of a 30 minute class.

My current goal is: I want to improve my understanding of anatomy and movement in art. Also finding volume in figures.

Nice work on your 5 & 10 minute drawings from your class mode, Kindredmarie. I love them very much. I've got one small suggestion: Would you like to go for another 10 minute interval drawing, pretty, pretty please??? And do you know why?? It's because it'll very much help you on your understanding of anatomy and movement, and finding volume in your figure studies. But wait, there's more!

Why don't you go for another figure drawing, flipped vertical, pretty please, too?

Hope you'll find it fairly essential in your observations.

Your 10 minutes sketch looks not too different from you 5mins sketch. Think about time management. Bigger shapes to smaller shapes. So keep your lines as light as possible until you're ready to start commiting on how you like you remaining minutes be spent. In a 10 minutes sketch you should start thinking about anatomy halfway, start with differentiation of torso and waist/legs. Remember your proportions. Like the elbow is normally at the same length as where the rib ends. Makes sure you have markers like these memorized.

Keep it up!

That is really good for a 5-10 minute sketch. I like how you used a colored pencil or a type of colored pencil led to sketch. It looks amazing keep up the good work.
