19-Second Upside Down Face Warm-Up

by Polyvios Animations, December 6th 2020 © 2020 Polyvios Animations

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 19 seconds in length.

My current goal is: Improve my understanding of the forces of the facial skull, in terms of my facial anatomy.

Here is my latest loosest and scribbliest facial skull-upside-down-reference study of a face. As you can plainly observe, I'm totally getting the look and the feel of the facial skull as it moves and acts on this expression. What do you all think?

Marcozico

Hey, can you explain your idea behind this?

Thanks :)

Hey, the idea is that I'm trying and being more loosest and natural with my line control, like Fred Moore.;)

Oh, thanks. I understand. Do you think that these warm ups will help you? Because I'm not sure. After all, your goal is to stay loose while drawing faces/characters. And right now you're staying loose but not really drawing a face or a character. I'd suggest you take much more time. Go from 19 seconds to 2 or even 5 Minutes. Stay loose while still capturing the face and the expression. Go slow and take your time. What do you think?

Did that, but, I'm really working in extremes, here.

Thanks. :)
