Great job on your control and understanding of the lines and spaces and proportions, geokelley.
My issue with that drawing still persists with me, is that several of the outlines are a bit too sketchier and scratchier. Would you like to do a quick 90 second blind contour drawing of that facial expression?
The reason why you could and should do this is because, though you're not really gonna be a bit too slickest, but still, your facial portrait will become all the more caricatured and cartoonier in that quickest contour drawing. For more details, please check out this Nicolaides PDF.

Be confident on your pencil and i think the proportions are ok.
