One challenge, that I ask you to think about, is taking great care with shadowing on BIPOC people. Especially those with dark skin. I am white and like many other white artists I have to take great care in not over shadowing dark skinned people.
In this portrait it is possible that the skin tone is the driving force for the amount of shading, or as often happens to me, trying to get it right leads to more hatching.
My critique here is to suggest a lighter touch, q lot of good detail has been lost.
