Done as part of a practice session with poses of 10 minutes in length.

My current goal is: Improve my shading and rendering of light

Polyvios Animations

Nothing much to say, AuntHerbert, but nice job on your tones and your rendering of them. My advice is to be that you could, would and should be able to put this into your portfolio tonight.

My critique could and should be said, when all is said and done, is that your lines of action and rhythm is not the strongest and broadest enough yet. Would you like to do yet another 30 minutes of 10 second quickest pose and attitude warm up drawings, in pencil? (1800/10=180 quickest attitude sketches) (I apologize, for I know that you haven't seen any of your pencil quickest sketches yet)

Here is your latest video, if you haven't worked in pencil in quite the longest time, look.

The reasons why is because, 1) if you need to help yourself constantly improve your lines of action and rhythm, then this is the right goal for you and your lights and shadows. (it's gonna be OK from here) 2. Although it's a pretty newer challenge for you, then I think you'd try and go about it with HB pencils for practice, though they're the cheapest and most forgiving in contrast and comparison to those Conte pencils shown in that video.

Good luck, cheers, and I hope these've helped you out.
