"Adjustments"

by Jcmlfineart, October 3rd 2021 © 2021 Jcmlfineart

Done as part of a 2 hour class.

My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid

Early gesture about 3 minutes as I got distracted by home life before the next image popped up.

--->I have a rule that I can not go back once the image has passed. (Cause if I allow myself to see the flashcard again I will not move on. I will make it fit until the end of the drawing. Then both me and the drawing suffer.)

It needs quite a few adjustments in portions. But I got off my game.

What do you do to adjust and get yourself back in the zone quickly?

Thanks for your reply.

All the best,

I really like the curves you use, many of your lines look very fluid and not stiff. Where I see you struggled the most is on the shoulders and arms which have a lot of mixed up lines that make it hard to see what curves you want to accentuate. I think you might have just lost focus and those parts and then overworked them in an attempt to fix the lines you had put down. Good job for letting go and moving on from the pose! It's hard to not get stuck on trying to perfect one thing.
