Day 29, Better

by Starcursedmass, November 11th 2021 © 2021 Starcursedmass

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 30 seconds in length.

Went back to figuring out ribs and pelvises. Trying to improve time. Need to draw the shapes more.

My current goal is: I don't know! I am an absolute beginner; I'm here to study the basics of rendering, stay consistant with practice.

I admire and adore how much of the lines of action, of balance and rhythm in your pelvises and ribcages, Starcursedmass. Greater job on all of them on this image.

My biggest problem I have with most of them is that though your lines are looser and light in those attitudes, but they are not enough of the comedy and cartoon-like feeling in them. Would you kindly practice of 60 minutes of 26 second anatomy poses of ribs and pelvises? (3600 seconds/26 seconds=138 scribble attitudes of some human anatomy)

The reason is because, if you really haven't done this suggestion already, even if they're gonna be a lot of vague scrawls, your hands will be able to be the most myelinated in your gesture sketches, in terms of your long lines, and of your larger lines.

Good luck to you, and my hat's off to you.

MQubed

You may try thinking of the torso more as a Lima/navy bean shape to further aid a sense of continuity (rather than such "cylindrical" hips). And, Keep Drawing!
