I love your use of toned paper, and the chiaroscuro (lights and shadows). Great job, and way to go, but keep going. Get looser quicker.
I have to say I've learned a lot more about what I should be approaching in my sketches now that I've just tried this relatively short exercise. I wish I did it sooner. There were some puzzle pieces missing in my drawing eye that this just honed in on pretty clearly
