Portrait drawing for an article in the Marshall Highschool paper of the journalist.

The drawing is finished, but I am not finished with getting better. Got some ideas? Shoot!

Thanks for your time,

I love the drawing! I like the color choice and the face is well drawn. I think it needed a bit more contrast and the colors needed to be a bit more vibrant. Also I feel like the right eye differs too much from the left eye. Overall well done! I believe you should practice on contrast. The best way to do this is by drawing in greyscale. Also check the value of you drawings by taking a picture of it and making it black and white.

Polyvios Animations

Good morning, Jcmlfineart, I'm Polyvios, Polyvios Animations. How are you doing tonight? Sorry to interrupt your beauty sleep. Great work on your face painting in hard pastels and pastel pencils, or something. Great work on the brigher use of chroma and colors. Way to go, keep up the great work.

The model's right eye, like Miyu0e0 said, differs kinda too much from her left eye. And the color's hues, tones, and intensity needs just a little bit more readable contrast. Otherwise way to go. Would you please look up some books on color relationships, such as the color wheel here. and this one here, too. As a result, if you just turned on your painting to grayscale, then your colors of the light would perfectly read better or differently, as well as your color harmonies. Also, look into some Renoir paintings online or at your local art gallery. Hope these've helped you out so much.
