25 Min Sketch

by The Doctor506, March 8th 2022 © 2022 The Doctor506

A sketch I did in 25 minutes in an hour long class structured practice as completely as I could. Noticeably the thigh appears too thin or pressed too close to the body and the positioning of the torso and the head causes the neck to appear disproportionately long.

Balanced drawing. Looks a bit like a painting. If the outline were thinner, the structure would stand out better.

Good evening, TheDoctor506, my name is Polyvios. I'm doing full from dinner, how are you? Say, I really, really love how forceful your pose is so much. I love this pose that I can see but also feel the forms and silhouette very well. Keep up the good work, and keep practicing.

My tiny, little suggestion is that though your forms are definitely getting there above, but the forces don't have a very, very, very light enough touch to me. Please why don't you free up your hand with a, if you haven't already, very first 30 minute class mode of figure drawings? The reason why you would do this idea is as a result, your forces will be drawn as the least stiffer and all the more fluider and livelier, especially in the subtle and more nuanced attitudes and acting and action. My hat's off to you, and good luck with your current and future posts. ;)

The thigh is indeed too thin but it's not something that makes the drawing look weird. Good job on the shadows tho, I really liked it!
