Hi, my goal is to get better at drawing humans. This one was a 10 min. practice. I had problems, especially with the legs. If you have any critique, that would help me a lot.

Thank you in advance!

Oh your hands are lovely, and your line quality is great. Your biggest struggle with your legs is going to be from your perspective. You have a dead center view of the rib cage and a slight top down view of the pelvis. This is great! It looks like the torso is sitting in space. But as you move your view down the leg it is going to take that perspective of the hips and add to it. So those lines of the leggings should be rounder then the pelvis.

you are going to progress faster with shorter timed drawings 20 thirty second drawings are going to teach you more then 1 ten minute drawing. You don’t need to rush your lines with a short drawing because your lines look smooth. But anything you do is fine, the pace you progress at is not important.

If you want to learn more about perspective I recommend the book. Perspective made easy by earnest r norling

Now that I think of it, the perspective made easy, is more about environments. The loomis books might be more applicable. I don’t own them so I don’t know which one
