Gestures 05 03 2023

by Tonovz, March 5th 2023 © 2023 Tonovz

Done as part of a 30-minute class.

My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid

I was struggling a little bit so I drew a little cartoon on the corner to relief stress. lol

I don't feel you're struggling too much on your livelier quicker sketches, Tonovz, but I feel that you're really know what you're going for, or trying to go for. Please keep on pushing yourself harder, further, and smarter. Yet, I'm still not getting enough simpler, more cartoonier poses and delineations of your poses for your models/characters. How would you like to go for 2 hours of 29 second quicker sketches, using only our custom timer?(7200s/29s=about 248)

72-58=14 140-116=24 240-232=8

29 x 3=87, 29 x 4=116, 29 x 5=145, 29 x 6=168, 29 x 7=207, 29 x 8=232

The explanation why you could and should do this suggestion is as a result, your goal will become even more fullfilled and followed-thru. For most details, please look into picking up a copy of the Action! Cartooning by Ben Caldwell. Good luck to you.

Heya i really like your sketches!

your lines are looking nice and solid, flows and dynamic. Since you're drawing digital maybe try a different brush that varies in thickness and that might give a more dynamic look. Also in the shorter sketches try capturing the entire pose rather than just base structure I really think you could do that without issues with your skills :)

all the best you're doing great
