Super good for a beginner! Try also practicing with some longer studys, and use your practice to find common shapes in the human figure. Look for squares, circles and triangles as basic shapes to help you construct your figures.

Good evening, Egg Of Your Demise, and welcome to Line of Action. How are you doing tonight? Nice job on capturing your range of gesture in terms on how you render it. Please keep up the great progress. I think that the gesture could use a bit more loose work, but I feel that you can practice some more. How would you like to go ahead with 30 minutes of 45 second quick sketches? (1800s/45s=40 quick scribbles)
The reason why you would do this little jig is because your study of the basics of rendering will become much less stiff and much fluid and lively. If your next goal is to make your gestures more cartoony and exaggerated, then bring it on. Also, look into the free PDF of the Shamus Culhane book, Animation From Script to Screen, mainly for the quick sketch exercise. In order to get practicing on that exercise, then it can and shall spur your creativity and artistry to develop your myelin, or muscle memory. Have fun and good night.
Hi Polyvios, thanks for the critique. I just did a session with 2 minute timer, so I'll try the 45 second one now. I really want to get good at realism before I do more stylized stuff, but ive heard that in gesturing the goal should be to exaggerate motion, so it does sound like a good idea to get drawings that are more loose and expressive.
