    Here is a pencil portrait just completed of my wife.

    Did you use a photo or is this from sight?

    Real quick crits:

    Her hands are tiny, tiny, tiny...a person's hands are slightly smaller than the face (not head). Her fingers would barely go above the nose.

    The lips and nose are rendered nicely but the eyes are flat and cartoony. They contain no depth.

    Thank you, I am very out of practice on hands and I am working on it.
    I was afraid that I overworked the lips giving them that cartoony look.

    i would suggest you draw guide lines before you go into details.. this gives you the idea of proportion. i found out it is real good idea for me this way..
