This is a 1 min figure in my local life drawing session. Using pen & permanent ink,

I think using ink was a very good idea since it forces you to commit to your lines instead of tempting you to erase as you would a pencil! The intended form of the figure is clear and you did a good job!

Thank you for critiquing my drawing. You are correct. With permanent ink, you better be accurate in your lines. What's there is there after you put them down. I can thank a lot of practice which helps me in my accuracy and speed in my drawings. In your art, you need to do the same: Practice makes better.

Wonderful use of vitality and spontaneity of your quickest pose, txWilliep. Love how that pose flows from top to bottom.

My tiniest nitpick for you would and should be that though your gesture attitude is perfectly readable, but, I'm not getting enough of the feeling of the force of the hands as they could be planted on the ground, firmly. Would you please retain a sense of weight and balance with 6 hours of 56 second poses, with a 5, 15 and 45 minute break inbetween? (21,600/56=386 quick sketches of figure studies)

The reason is because, to help you visually communicate the energy, fluidity and liveliness the least stiffest, and the most vitaly, flowy and energetic. way.

Good luck to you and your march of progress.

P.S. Practice makes progress

Tx Williep

Thank you for critiquing my drawing. I did the best I could in the allotted time. The top of the body is turned a little to the left. I may have done a little more detail in the right hand, i.e., add fingers. Fingers are not that hard. I suppose that progress and practice go together. I would add study. Study human anatomy, other artists' work (old & new), art history, other civilizations (in art school I studied Central American & Mayan art), and anything that piques your interest. Practicing quick sketches is also a good idea.
