December 15, 2024 8:40pm #37031I'm interested in Poses that are foreshortened. Been doing perspective as a daily study and fun activity. Been playing my gestures in boxes that are foreshortened. They look goofy, but I'm having fun with it. I might even show some samples, it's been a while. Also, having an option to choose foreshortened references only.December 15, 2024 10:58pm #37033JO NI wrote:having an option to choose foreshortened references only.
Ooh, I have good news about that request!
December 17, 2024 8:21pm #37105Hi! Love the opportunity to have something close to a real life figure drawing session as I am not able to attend any in person currently. One suggestion would be actual video sessions of poses. I just feel that there's something to drawing a living pose that pictures can't capture.January 29, 2025 11:21am #37558Not a feature as much as a long term goal, but having this site have TONS of sets to use. Expand into a variety of places, like renaissance paintings, anime art, trees and plants, etc.
And also the ability to really focus on what you want to practice. It's already great in terms of narrowing things down, but if I had the option just study folds in cloth for 20 mins that would be amazing. Maybe there's a way to let people tag images and then you can choose to see images with only certain tags?January 29, 2025 12:28pm #37559Draped fabric is a category we do have and you can filter by! :) But -- I think you and I are on a similar wave length.January 29, 2025 8:26pm #37560I would really like to see a toggle/button when reviewing for a larger image/thumbnail, it gets a bit difficult to compare how accurate my figure drawings were when zooming in and the image is slightly blurry. Thanks!January 30, 2025 2:57pm #37562Hi! I'd love classes with images all the same length of time.
For example, a 30-minute class where I can draw each pose for 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 30 seconds, etc.January 30, 2025 7:06pm #37565Quote:Hi! I'd love classes with images all the same length of time.

This is definitely in the works! :DFebruary 2, 2025 11:52am #37572Not sure if this is the point of this post as I'm not proposing any new settings, but I'd love if there were new portraits added to that category to practice with! Tysm for hosting this great ressource for artists:-).February 21, 2025 7:43pm #37636Just a quick update:
I've been working pretty heavily on the next version of the tool software. It's going well. I've had to take some breaks to do some client work in order to put food on the table, which has slowed me down more than I wanted, but I'm still going strong. I really hope to be taking beta testers in a couple of weeks here.
Here are some new features I have finished so far, in addition to rebuilding the existing features:- Auto-pause while images finish downloading and displaying
- Optionally choose a specific model to draw (For example, only drawing Javani, or Rosali, or Sanne.)
- Ability to limit the number of poses per session, without using class mode. For example, you can set the timer to 30 seconds per image, and then say you only want 10 images instead of just infinitely being shown pictures until you press stop.
- When choosing a custom time interval, you no longer have to do it only by seconds. You can choose to enter seconds OR minutes.
These are features that aren't finished but are in progress and will hopefully all be part of the beta in a few short weeks:- Official image playlists on specific themes (For example, various models doing challenging foreshortening poses)
- Optional warning noises when the timer is getting low
- Option to change the timer size
- Remembering the previous settings you've used for drawing sessions and allowing you to rapidly re-use them
- Better image review after a session is ended
- Easier/more obvious ways to draw from your own playlists
- Easier/more obvious ways to draw from your purchased photo bundles (and only those images, rather than just putting them in the mix)
There's plenty more I want to add, but I don't want to add too many features to this release so that I can get it out and let you use it faster. :)
I hear you all on wanting more photos and tutorials! This particular update is more about features/quality of life/ease of use rather than content. I am including a rewrite of how the software handles tutorials, tips and classes, so that it's easier for me to expand that kind of content in future. On the current version it is a HUGE hurdle.-

March 10, 2025 3:11pm #37709I have a working first version ready for beta testers this morning! I already have a few volunteer testers, but there's plenty of room for more! So if you'd like to try out this new version early, just let me know. You just have to promise to give me a detailed description of how things go wrong, if anything, so I can make the tools better for everyone before their official release. :)

Still working on and hope to have out for beta testing in the next week or two:
- Translations
- Official image playlists on specific themes (For example, various models doing challenging foreshortening poses)
- Optionally restricting images by layout (horizontal or vertical photos only)
March 16, 2025 7:26pm #37728I've made a lot of fixes and tweaks based on the feedback of the beta testers so far that should give a nicer experience for everyone. I just updated the beta with translations for those who use alternate language versions of the site as well -- that took a fair amount of doing.
I'll be spending at least one more week revising based on beta feedback and completing some of the most essential new features. At this point it's looking like it will be released for everyone at some point in the week of the 24th - the 30th.
