Nice to meet you. I'm participating from Japan. I've joined today. I would be very happy if you could give me a critique. I'm not very good at English, so I'm using translation software to write this text. I'm not very good at English, so I used translation software to write this text.

Hi akikoma, this looks very good especially for a pose that has more difficult perspective! I can see that you layed out the structure first, which is a very good way to start a sketch.

I don't have a lot to say to critique this, but here is a suggestion for a style you might enjoy playing with because I can see that you are exploring the shadow shapes on the face: treat the shadows as shapes themselves and draw a line trying to define the edges of that shape, like treating the shadow as a vector object. This simplifies the form and forces you to think about those shapes and planes of the face more.

Cheers!

Hello Ai Neander!

Thanks so much for the critique !

I'll put that idea of capturing shadows with shapes into practice right away!
